Questions

The short answers

Yes. The public landing page only collects a request. For an authorized review, we agree on the scope and test access first. The passive public-surface checks do not change your app.

Developers and security engineers from big tech companies. We watch apps built fast get broken every day, and the same holes repeat from project to project. Woland is a way to show them to the owner before someone else finds them.

No. Every finding comes with proof: where it sits and how to reproduce it. You can't invent that — it's verifiable in a minute. If no problems are found, we describe exactly what was checked and what could not be verified.

We check a limited set of classes: the holes typical of apps built without code. Public-surface checks are passive; authenticated access checks need test identities and fixtures. We show what we actually found; we don't promise “absolute security” — nobody has it.

The builder ships a working app, but access policies and server-side checks are left to you, and they're off by default. That's not a bug in the builder — it's the part it stays quiet about.

We provide a separate fix task for each confirmed issue, with the expected behavior and a re-check criterion. We name source files only when known.

Woland in Bulgakov's “The Master and Margarita” doesn't create evil — he arrives and uncovers what people hide, including from themselves. That is exactly what an outside security scan does: it doesn't shield you in the abstract, it shows what you already have open to the world.
